The 2017 Cuvée Dr. Robert Pinot Noir comes entirely from the Peterson and Cortada Alta Vineyards in the Santa Lucia Highlands appellation. The name was inspired by a song from 1966 about a doctor with a "special cup." This cuvée spent just over a year in neutral French oak, and then an incredibly long three and a half years in tank before it was bottled at the end of February 2022. Typical of Sandler's SLH Pinots, it is a pleasantly fragrant Pinot, with a medium body and long finish. Enjoy this from 2022 through 2028.
